Magic Knights Rayearth is an anime which I have not gotten into, but would
love to. So, if I get anything wrong,
tell me! ^_^
Magic Knights Rayearth, or MKR, is a story that is about 3 14yr old girls in the
8th grade whom are called by Princess Emeraude to the magical world of
Cefiro.
Princess Emeraude has called them there because she was captured by
Zagato, a priest, who was her most trusted Guardian. The last thing she
does is use her power to summon the legendary Knights to help save her world.
Cefiro is a magical world where a persons will is transformed into reality.
Princess Emeraude prayed for Cefiro to be a peaceful wonderful place, but
when she was captured, Cefiro peoples became worried, and scared, and their
fear causes great evil powers to be released.
The first person they met is Guru Clef, who gives them their armor and
powers of gaining strength, also informing them until they've completed
the reason Princess Emeraude sent them to Cefiro, they can't go home.
The reason being to wake the Machine Gods so that Cefiro will be
returned to the way it was.
Each battle they have they grow stronger so that they can battle Zagato.
Bad thing is is that Zagato has fallen in love with the Princess Emeraude,
and Zagato has also fallen in love with her. The Princess knows she cannot
love him, and decides to have the knights destroy her, but Zagato, who doesn't
know of her love, or her plans, is keeping her safe.
Hikaru Shiido is the main character of Rayearth.
She's 14 years old, born August 8, and learned Japanese Fencing early on in
her life. She's short, but a fantastic jumper, and is rather a sweet,
innocent girl. Hikaru uses the magic of Fire.
Fuu Hououji is the archer of the group, her weapon
of choice being her bow, not her sword. She was born December 12, and is 14yrs old.
Fuu is the computer tech of the group, and is very good at determining people.
Not much else is said about Fuu. She uses the magic of Wind.
Umi Ryuuzaki is 14yrs old, born March 3rd.
Umi sometimes may come off as a spoiled brat, but overall she cares for her
friends. Her goal in life is to become a bride. She uses the magic of Water.
Important to note, however, that despite the fact she seems a spoiled child,
Umi has several web shrines devoted to her.
Mokona is the Knight's friend. His/Her red gem can store many
things that come in handy. Mokona's vocab is limited to the word Bu, which can also
be said in varying degrees...^_^
